Head Coach - Andy Machen
Coach Andy Machen is in his 12th year coaching football at SMS and is in his second year as the Head Coach. Coach Machen teaches Computer Science and Finance at SMS. He is passionate about Academics and Football with the desire to help all Student athletes be successful both on and off the field. Congratulations to our volleyball players and coaches for a very successful season. The team ended the regular season tied for first place in our region. After competing in the region tournament, the team finished in second place with an overall record of 10-2.

My name is Deandra Martin and I am the head volleyball coach at Seneca Middle School! I am from Seneca, SC and a graduate from Seneca High School, class of 2021. I graduated from Southern Wesleyan University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and currently work for Seneca Middle School as a companion aide. For the past three years, I have helped coach club volleyball in the Seneca area. My favorite part of coaching is helping athletes grow in not only their skill level, but at a personal level as well. I am so excited for the opportunity to coach the C-Team Volleyball program this year and I cannot wait to see what this season holds!

My name is Kaleigh Akins and I am the Head Cheer Coach at Seneca Middle! I’ve been coaching for over 10 years, starting out as a tumbling instructor and working my way up to leading full squads. Cheerleading has always been a passion of mine, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help young athletes grow—not just in their skills, but in their confidence and team spirit!
I work hard to create a positive, energetic environment where every cheerleader feels supported, challenged, and inspired to be their best. Watching them grow and succeed, both on and off the mat, is truly the most fulfilling part of what I do. C-Team can’t wait to cheer on their Bobcats to victory! Let’s go, Cats!

My name is Juliana Ellsworth and I am the assistant cheer coach at Seneca Middle School! I’m so ecstatic to be apart of this program and community! I am from New York City, New York and I am a current senior at Clemson University and am hoping to pursue my Masters in Secondary Education Mathematics!
